actually its harder to actually see on you map what you have missed in cantha, but I haven't be southern than Ghyala hatchery on the luxon side, and did as much as possible in the other regions: I'm on 86,9 with still a large portion of luxon area to put my attention on, so 90 - 95 will is very easy to get

Tyrian exploration was harder in my opinion.

What you could have missed are after you've done a mission, is that you can do the explorable mission area to for that region, there I got quite a few extra bits for my title

i suggest browsing around here. a single map should get you to 95~ by simple taking a quick look. if you want more, you gotta look closely. good luck with exploring. ^^

What counts for the explorer titles are areas that show up on the map. The Deep, Urgoz' Warren and Dragon's Thoat for example do not show up there, but the other challenge missions and Ford Aspenwood and the Gyala Hatchery do, so yes, you need those.

If you've finished the game with 85% you have missed quite a lot more than that, though.

I am up to 90.5%. Edge walking is pretty important to get the title. You also have to be sure to go back into the exporable areas after doing the mission. There are some sections that just aren't available during the mission. The starter island also counts for about 22 some odd percent as well. I have yet to finish Tanakie(spelling) Temple explorable, but it is the last place left for me in the Kanieng City area. After that it is going to be all about the Kurzicks for a while so I can finish that side of the map.

In Cantha you really need to "run the walls". You have to run your character almost sideways and make sure to run up all those spots where you can get your character halfway up a wall. It's kind of rediculous but that's how I finished off Grand Master Cartographer. There's little .1%'s all over that you won't get unless you do this.
Like one of the previous contributors said, go back to the mission areas and explore after you've beaten them. Gayla Hatchery is quite large and you don't explore 1/2 of it during the actual mission. Another HUGE area is Eternal Grove. Slap on some run skills and enter the mission. Start running right or left on the wall and continue on til all the tree singers die. You may have to do it again and run the other direction if they die too quickly.
Tyria on the other hand was much easier to open map. You can run "near" the walls and it opens up. With Tyria though, you need to gain access to bonus areas in missions, which can be difficult with henchies, and it's hard to find a group to "map" with.
It's time consuming to get this title for both continents and it plain sucks at times, but it's a cool title to have and people will ping you alot saying damn! you got 100%??

You should find yourself a map in the Canthan forums here. There are quite a few 100% maps floating around now. Pay particular attention to the areas in the city itself as sometimes it is very hard to distinguish the "cloud" from the brown areas on the edges of areas. For example, I found the eastern edge of Vizunah was hard to catch at first. The maps here are invaluable. Just keep pluggin away, you will get it eventually. I am currently working on my 3rd character to get both Canthan and Tyrian Grandmaster (yes, I have no life outside of work) :-) . GL!
